Spring 2024 - Regatta Package

This Spring we are bundling all of the regatta fees into a package so that no individual payments will need to be made throughout the season.

These fees include all travel, hotels (where needed), race fees, and trailering fees at all regular season regattas, with the exception of the San Diego Crew Classic and US Rowing Junior Nationals in Sarasota Florida.

Description

There will be two squads created within the Junior Men and Junior Women’s teams, welcoming every level of athlete. Anyone who has rowed competitively, or completed a Learn to Row season, this is the program for you. The coaches will evaluate and assign athletes to the squad appropriate to their skill and experience level.

High Performance: Program size: 20-30. Our most competitive level, for the top junior athletes of any age, focusing on high level training and racing. At this advanced level, athletes must commit up front to practice and regatta attendance.

Developmental: Program size: open. Our level for developing rowers and coxswains, perfect for rowers returning from a novice year experience or returning varsity athletes looking for a technical focus to improve their rowing stroke. Program goals will increase your technical expertise and overall fitness, with a focus on stroke mechanics and understanding of physical work required at a varsity level.

Selection Process: We will have an evaluation period for approximately two weeks at the beginning of the season. This will include on-the-water evaluations of skill and strength as well as erg testing. Athletes will be separated into the groups above, along with a dedicated coaching staff for each group, for the remainder of the season. This selection process will allow us to provide consistent and dedicated training at every level. Athletes may move between the groups in certain cases throughout the season or on any given day to fill out boats and make lineups.
