Our summer camps are the perfect time for your middle-schooler to try his/her hand at rowing before they decide whether they want to pursue the sport in high-school.

Two week sessionsTwo week sessions allow new athletes to gain enough experience to be able to step into a Novice racing experience by the time they complete camp.

9am – 3pmThe kids will have two rowing sessions (weather dependent) each day, with lunch in Georgetown at Washington Harbor.
- 8:45 – 9:00 – Arrival@Thompson’s Boat Center
- 9:00- 9:30 – Intro activity and stretching
- 9:-30- 11:30 – Rowing session I
- 11:30-12:30 – Lunch
- 12:30 – 1:00- Land activity
- 1:00- 2:30 – Rowing session II
- 2:30 – 3:00 – Wrap up discussions & Activity
- 3:00- 3:15 – Dismissal @Thompson’s Boat Center

Ages: 12 years and olderThe camp is recommended for rising 7th graders through rising 9th graders. All campers must be 12 years old before the start of camp.

Experience levelWe expect campers to have very little experience. This is a learn-to-row camp. If your camper has completed a season long (Spring or Fall) program in the past, our competitive programs are probably a better fit.
