Summer Camp

Try rowing, you will never look back!

Our summer camps are the perfect time for your middle-schooler to try his/her hand at rowing before they decide whether they want to pursue the sport in high-school.

The Potomac is one of the greatest parts of living in DC.

  • Two week sessions
Two week sessions allow new athletes to gain enough experience to be able to step into a Novice racing experience by the time they complete camp.
  • 9am – 3pm
The kids will have two rowing sessions (weather dependent) each day, with lunch in Georgetown at Washington Harbor.
    • 8:45 – 9:00 – Arrival@Thompson’s Boat Center
    • 9:00- 9:30 – Intro activity and stretching
    • 9:-30- 11:30 – Rowing session I
    • 11:30-12:30 – Lunch
    • 12:30 – 1:00- Land activity

    • 2:30 – 3:00 – Wrap up discussions & Activity

  • Ages: 12 years and older
The camp is recommended for rising 7th graders through rising 9th graders. All campers must be 12 years old before the start of camp.
  • Experience level
We expect campers to have very little experience. This is a learn-to-row camp. If your camper has completed a season long (Spring or Fall) program in the past, our competitive programs are probably a better fit.

Do not miss out on this experience!
