Tom currently serves as the Manager of Coaching Education and Junior Men’s Assistant Coach at TBC Racing; entering his fourth year working with TBC Racing. In addition, for the last four scholastic seasons, Tom has led St. Albans School’s Freshman as the Head Freshman Coach.

Tom has spent 13 years dedicated to developing novice rowers at programs across the area, including seven years at Gonzaga College High School, where he was on staff during record-tying streak of 5-straight Men’s Varsity Eight Stotesbury Cup Regatta wins. During his career, Tom has also served as an Assistant Coach on Georgetown University’s lightweight men’s program; and as Freshman men’s coach at Walt Whitman High School. All of these engagements have led to achievements by his crews at major regattas including finals at Stotesbury and medals at National Championships.

Tom began rowing at Gonzaga High School and attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland where he was captain of the Varsity Basketball team. He graduated from St. Mary’s with a degree in economics in 2009.

In addition to coaching, Tom works for FMI, The Food Industry Association in Arlington, VA and enjoys his office’s view of the river.
